The College of Professional Studies has developed this course to help employers promote employees into managerial roles, provide early career professional development for leaders, and encourage on-the-job practice opportunities. A digital badge will be awarded for successful completion of each course, with another digital badge awarded at the end of the series encompassing completion overall.

The College of Professional Studies has developed this course to help employers promote employees into managerial roles, provide early career professional development for leaders, and encourage on-the-job practice opportunities. A digital badge will be awarded for successful completion of each course, with another digital badge awarded at the end of the series encompassing completion overall.

Classes include:

1. Creating a Collaborative Workplace Culture (August 10 - August 30): Understand company culture and goals,  how to motivate and lead diverse teams, leading multi-generational workforces, and the benefits of developing company culture.

2. Effective Communication Skills in the Office (August 31 - September 20, Break on Sep.7) : Communicate in the office by using best practices. Understand the legality of writing, building trust in communication, and interpersonal skills for all levels.

3. Building Teamwork (Sepbetember 21 - October 11) :Learn how to motivate employees and inspire teamwork. Dive into group collaboration techniques, conflict resolution, and setting strategic goals for your team.

4. Critical Conversations (October 12 - November 1):Develop skills in speaking with employees and staff about issues and how to prepare for critical conversations.

5. Coaching and the Manager Role (November 2 - November 22, Break on Nov. 23-27): Being a mentor is crucial in a managerial position. Learn essential coaching skills, how to conduct feedback and evaluation, and the art of minimizing bias.

6. Workplace Safety (November 30 - December 20): Learn how to address unsafe behaviors, empower your team to stop poor practices, foster accountability, and interactive approaches to help managers.
