This 12-week online course from the OSU College of Professional Studies teaches you how to apply the Lean Six Sigma DMAIC framework to solve real business problems, drive continuous improvement and lead impactful projects—no matter your industry. Taught by an experienced Black Belt and Master Black Belt instructor, the course includes an optional project for full Green Belt certification and awards an OSU certificate of completion upon passing the final exam.
What You’ll Learn
By the end of the course, you will be able to:
- Understand the core principles and benefits of Lean and Six Sigma methodologies
- Apply the Lean Six Sigma DMAIC framework—Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve and Control—to improve operational performance
- Lead or support Lean Six Sigma projects within your organization
- Identify and eliminate waste to enhance efficiency and customer satisfaction
- Interpret and use key Lean Six Sigma metrics and tools
- Sustain improvements with effective process controls and change management
